IBM TechU Red Hat and OpenShift – Storage – tu00010gwpl
Course #: tu00010gwpl
Duration: 7.2 Hours
Skill level: | Intermediate | Duration: | 7 hours |
---|
This learning theme is all about leveraging containers with IBM Storage Systems. You’ll get an introduction to containers in general. Then we’ll dive into how to leverage containers with IBM Storage using Red Hat OpenShift and IBM Cloud Paks. The learning also provides some how to scenarios on building the environment and protecting the environment as well as provisioning persistent storage. It also includes a solution demo.
Objectives
After completing this course, you should be able to:
- understand the basics of containers, Kubernetes, microservices, DevOps and container-ready storage
- understand how to set up a resilient, secure and data management-capable private cloud environment, deploy file, block, or object storage for your application requirements, orchestrate with Kubernetes and manage stateful applications using IBM storage with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and IBM Cloud Paks
- understand how Storage Suite for Cloud Paks enables hybrid multicloud application deployment
- understand new capabilities coming to Spectrum Protect Plus that support backup and recovery of containers, Red Hat OpenShift, and Cloud Paks including integration with the Cloud Pak for Multicloud Management
- learn how to deploy CockRoadDB and MongoDB databases from the OCP Operator Hub using IBM Block or Spectrum Scale CSI Driver
- understand basic components of Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage such as Ceph, Rook and Nooba
- understand OpenShift Container Storage basic deployment and planning
- understand step by step how to bring enterprise data services to containers with IBM Storage for Red Hat OpenShift.
