Introducing the Internet of Things – c130013gwpl
Course #: c130013gwpl
Duration: 1.6 Hours
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the connection of devices to the internet. Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) extends IoT to include support for industrial applications such as predictive maintenance. This course discusses how the devices that are monitored might also include equipment that is designed and built to include sensing or reporting capabilities. With those capabilities, the devices might provide, without extra sensors, useful performance and operational metrics to monitor applications. IoT is a means to an end, not the end. Think of IoT as an enabler for industry solutions that build on IoT to add data from other sources, AI, workflows, and user interfaces in support of digital transformation initiatives.
Objectives
