IBM DS8000 Implementation Workshop for z Systems – ssf1pl
Course #:
Duration: 3 Days
To learn the DS8000 storage subsystem and its hardware components and logical structure. You configure the DS8000 storage subsystem using a DS8000 Storage Manager GUI and review the DS CLI interface for scripting configuration functions. You will also perform dynamic data relocation using Easy Tier function.
Objectives
- Describe the hardware components of the IBM DS8000
- Recognize the architecture of the DS8000
- Install the DS CLI interface
- Configure the DS8000 for System z environment using DS CLI
- Configure the DS8000 for System z environment using DS GUI
- Recall the zSeries host attachment considerations
- Recognize the DS8000 Copy Services
- Classify performance, tuning, and monitoring for DS8000
- Only Windows servers are used during all the lab sessions to access
- DS8000 storage using DSCLI and DS GUI
